Long Bio 👉🏼 I am a Research Scientist with the Building Science and Engineering Group (BSEG) at Drexel University. I hold a Bachelor degree in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh, and a PhD degree in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University. My current work focuses on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Laboratory Performance Verification of Flexible Building Equipment in a Typical Commercial Building , a project supported by the US Department of Energy. I am also an active participant in International Energy Agency (IEA) Energy in Buildings and Communities Programme (EBC) - Annex 81 - Data-Driven Smart Buildings (Annex 81). I offer lectures and lab sessions for AE 551: Building Energy System I.

My research interest primarily focuses on a range of key areas in building science. These include building energy modeling, the control and simulation of dynamic building energy systems, demand flexibility, occupant behaviors, fault detection and diagnostics, and the applications of AI in buildings.
